Back to Ilinocahi, full of goat

Just so everything isn't all "Why job why oh why!" (which I will do my best not to return us to tomorrow)...

I ended up spending the morning/afternoon today with look_alive (I'm really not sure how she's not tired of me yet) and her newly-arrived-in-Chicago cats (so cute! Especially little Patrick, who follows her around everywhere and is so codependent ( Read more... )

Me tired of you? ...I kinda thought it'd be the other way around, seeing as I crashed on your couch for a week in various states of panic.

But dude, no way! I MISSED THIS :D

Remember artichoke fencing?

Of course I remember artichoke fencing. There are myriad places we should really never be allowed in. I kind of forgot how often that happened, since apparently we behave ourselves at concert venues (or rather, it's harder to hear our snarky commentary and there are few things with which to beat each other/other things). We're gonna have to up our game, you know. Ange and I apparently were known in the Portland Trader Joe's as the people who had a battle with whole crabs. Which we did. And apparently it was witnessed, and we were high-fived a couple times. WHAT EVEN.

But yeah, I agree. We obviously need to start hitting quieter locales so our inspired genius can be properly appreciated by those around us. (I kept wondering how much the sound board ops could hear)

OMG, I LOVE HOME GOODS SO MUCH!!! ♥ It gives me fantasies of someday being in possession of a really creepy old mansion that I can fill full of marble horse heads and giant Buddha statues. It is just a giant warehouse of OMGWTF I HAVE TO HAVE THAT NOW!!

Those giant forks are pretty damn cool.

And I have yet to eat goat. I am jealous!

Ah-ha! That must be what that store is for. I was picturing a massively kitschy and weird rec room or something. (-;

Goat is oddly easy to come by around here. There's also an African place up on the north side I've been meaning to go to that has tasty goat curry.

Why stop at a rec room, when you can have an entire mansion full of WTF??? (They also have really gorgeous, practical, and reasonably-priced housewares, as well. But naturally it's the weird stuff that draws my eye!)

Mmm, curry! I'm pretty sure I'd eat almost any kind of meat if it were in a nice, spicy curry.
