Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! (To those of you who are desirous of Christmas wishes, and to those who are not: Happy Sunday! These are your only two options. You don't get out of well-wishes today.) And a Happy look_alive's Birthday to all. (Happy Birthday look_alive! ♥♥)

I am sitting in my bed shivering, about to get up and make cinnamon rolls and wait for Yuletide to start ( Read more... )

Merry Christmas! You forgot about NEW DOCTOR WHO! The day is just full of excitement. :)

I can't wait to squee over Yuletide with you! 2 more minutes!

Now I need to leave my bed and get Christmas started. First up: posting today's fics at sherlockmas!

Ahh, new Doctor Who! I always forget that happens, since I never get to see it until I get back to Chicago after the holidays. So no spoilers! (-;

And eeeee, Yuletide! I'm probably going to post recs and squee tomorrow so I don't spam the crap out of everything today but but I got a nearly ten-thousand word Age of Adz story that I am super looking forward to! And a wonderful Luther fic (which I read first, because I knew I could finish it before my family got suspicious). ^_^ I feel kind of bad that I didn't even write over 3000 words for the fest (though I was up until nearly 2 in the morning writing utter crackfic).

Ah, priorities. I hope your morning was awesome. ^_^

Ok, no spoilers! I am going to do my best to wait and watch it when it airs on BBC America at 9:00pm after my relatives leave, and not download it after it airs in the UK and hide from our guests in my room while I watch it. (Even though that's exactly what I want to do!)

I got four Yuletide gifts! FOUR! Three fairy tales, and one for The Last Unicorn. I now feel extremely guilty that I only wrote one.

I've already read one of them, and it's very good! Full of gorgeous language, and an intriguing update on the Red Riding Hood tale. I suppose I'll be reading the rest intermittently throughout the day.

My morning was very nice. Breakfast with my parents, then the opening of presents. I got a dough hook attachment for my Kitchenaid, and a kitchen scale! Just what I wanted. :)

How goes your Christmas?

I'm having a hard time not cheating and using my parents' new wireless to just download it to my netbook for the ride home--but I know it'll slow down youtube and everything for my mom, and she's still playing with her new toy. (-;

Man, the Yuletide fair was good to you! There was more fic for fewer people this year (which is pretty awesome), so I figure treats happen because someone wanted to write something anyway. That means we shouldn't feel that guilty, right? (I have a treat waiting in Yuletide Madness, and I am sitting her coming up with theories about what it could be, but the uncertainty is driving me midly crazy. (-;)

Ah, Kitchenaid attachments. I'm still coveting the pasta press, though really, there are very few times my mixer doesn't just have its dough hook attached. I don't know how you were getting by without one. ^_^ I got some new saucepans (which were sorely needed, as mine are old with deteriorating nonstick coatings) and a food processor. Hooray for cooking-themed gifts!

I'll be back... Tuesday? (Monday night at 11, actually, but that's not any use.) Since I have to work Tuesday I'll probably be tired and useless so... Wednesday or Thursday for stuff-exchanging and introduction-to-new-omg-pans?

Yeah, I figured. Ummm... Thursday I have to pick up Laura in Indianapolis, and I was thinking of going in to my internship HQ and kissing ass helping them move offices for a day on the 28th, but since they're right down on S Michigan Ave, maybe we could rendezvous and head over here after you get off work?

Blah, of course. I forgot Laura was coming so soon. I think tomorrow after work should be okay (provided I don't have to stay super-late). I'm actually home today, but mostly because I'm sick, so that doesn't do us much good. :/
