hot librarian

Really, what is with the term "hot librarian"? I may be sensitive about this given the fact that I am a librarian (the jury is still out whether or not I could be considered a "hot" librarian or not), but it just bugs the heck out of me. People fling this term around when they see an attractive woman wearing glasses and possibly a blazer: "that ( Read more... )

This post is too funny. I use the expression "hot librarian" all the time. I had NO idea it was a popular term.

I don't know if it is a popular term or not, but I think I've heard or read something similar to it one too many times. If its not "hot librarian" comparisons it is nerdy librarian sterotypes. I guess its more amusing than anything but sometimes it strikes me in an annoying way instead.

Oh, the nerdy librarian stereotypes drive me crazy. I work in a big system with a lot of librarians, and have met maybe one or two people out of the entire system that match the stereotype. A lot of the rest are hipsters, which is probably worse.

It may seem that way the way she photoshops herself in all the pictures you've seen of her online, but let me tell you what! I've met her in person and she's actually a MAN! It's true! Oh, and Ed is a woman.
