I s'pose the furry phenomenon can be so grating at times because it's one of the more visible and obvious ways people use to escape reality and gloss over their imperfections. Furry posers stand out in a world of human posers, making the ones with human faces and forms seem slightly less ridiculous or taking the focus off of their escapist behavior altogether. To me, all people hiding behind a mask look alike...I guess because I've worn a (human) mask or two in the past.

Regardless, I think the group is a cool idea, and I do agree with what you say.
