"When you become enlightened
you will know that you've
always been enlightened all along"

Jack Kerouac

I wonder what enlightenment means and how it happens.
I wish I could see
the truth
in the world of liars and thieves.
I don't know if I could survive the bliss
of light
in the darkness.
Is there life in death?
Joy in pain?
Happiness in despair?

Thank you. I read this quote from JK and felt oddly inspired, so I decided to write something of my own.

Feedback always makes my day...

that's wonderful, I guess...
I'm not english and maybe I'm not great about poems wich are not in italian but believe me: i like it...you see, I red it with speaking voice and...I like how it sounds...my favourite line is:
I don't know if I could survive the blissof lightin the darkness.
if I'll use it in some of my graphic art, I'll credit you, savy?
kisses

Thank you so much! Don't worry, English is not my first language either (I'm from Poland, by the way). Of course you can use it! Send me a link to your art so I can see what you come up with. I'm deeply flattered you liked it.

Your spelling is so funny! Sorry, but I just had to say it. But well, no sane person would be able to read it if it was written in my language (like "thanks" is "dziękuję")

Well, there are many curses in Polish, and kurwa is only one of them, it's actually pretty mild one (people use it quite often, it's something like "fuck" in English, but it means "prostitute")
