... and by "writing" I mean in my head. Putting words down is very hard for me atm, has been for about two years.

I am pretty sure thinking about writing actually counts. After all, that's where the best ideas come from.

I haven't written for ages, but I've promised LeeFest-goers that I would finish an OZ AU fic that's in limbo.

I'm mainly reading Holmes/Watson, House/Wilson and Jeeves/Wooster. And doing that "writing in my head" thing. ;)

As I mentioned to KayJay, I tend to think the writing in our heads counts. As long as it makes us happy that's all that matters in the end.

I am always very pleased to find another Holmes/Watson lover. Yay. I haven't read any House/Wilson in ages. I should check some out I guess. I can't say have ever read any Jeeves/Wooster though.

I'm still fairly new in my explorations of Holmes, House, Jeeves and Wooster, but I'm making up for my tardiness through total immersion!

Here's a rec if you want to sample some Jeeves/Wooster: One of the best J/W fics I've read is also one of the most recent -- Jeeves and the Uncomfortable Morning. I think one of the reasons it works is because the author chose to write in third person. A true pastiche would be from Bertie's POV, and although it's quite a talent to capture, his chirpy, discombulated slang doesn't really lend itself to romance or smut! Here, the writer captures the tone and voices well, but leaves some distance for us to observe the characters.

I really hope you stay awhile with Holmes/Watson, it's wonderful to have new input from someone seeing them with fresh eyes.

Thank you so much for the rec. I will have to be adventurous and go check them out.

Been reading due South for years. Still occasionally will read a Enterprise one, but only if I've ran out of DS or Torchwood stuff. Have read a bit of House as well.

This is pretty much what I thought. All the Enterprise readers of a few years back are going elsewhere for their entertainment. It's a bit disappointing but I also understand interests change as shows end and new ones begin.

I am loving Torchwood. Can't wait for season three.

Have you guys made it all the way through season 2 of Torchwood yet? The final 2 eps are Amazing.

I can't wait for season 3 either. What we get of one. *sad* AND I'm still thinking about going to see Gareth David-Lloyd when he comes to Atlanta.

I'm not against reading Enterprise, I just got burnt out on it. I'm sure I'll return to it again someday. I occasionally go back and read some from my first fandom, Whose Line is it Anyway. But for me fandom is like life, it's constantly changing.

I've even got a Dr. Who/Firefly fic open in my browser someone recced to me. It's all good. ;p

Season 2 of Torchwood still hasn't played in Australia. The only reason I have seen is I managed to find all the episodes on Surf the channel.

But for me fandom is like life, it's constantly changing.

I can't agree with you more. It's just I miss the old days and sometimes change is hard when you don't have a lot of time to spare.

I've also read and written Harry Potter fic, read Northern Exposure and The Thirteenth Warrior fic. I have an idea for a 13th Warrior fic that may/may not get written. And by checking Enterprise fic, I also mean to indicate that I read and write TOS (Spock/McCoy), Deep Space Nine (Garak/Bashir, Bashir/O'Brien, Ben Sisko/Bashir), and Voyager (Chakotay/Paris, Tuvok/Paris and Paris/Kim). And yes, I'm an avaricious reader and writer.

Wow, you do get around don't you? It's very nice to see someone so involved in so many fandoms.

And yes, I'm an avaricious reader and writer.

Please don't ever change.

Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars. Lately I feel I might come back to Trek. I just bought the last season of Voyager on a whim, I've also been looking at fanvids for Ent etc on YouTube.

I recently dreamt I was making a Quantum Leap vid which is kinda weird because I don't even own any episodes. I could see me attempting a Trek vid..

I don't know much about Ashes to Ashes or Life on Mars. I loved Voyager when it was on though.

Did you find anything worth sharing? I am always after inspiration.

No, nothing new really..I always end up back looking at archerreed.net. I remember watching most of the currently available vids at enstcommunity when it was quite a simple thing to vid, before it all got so sophisticated.

It's a bit scary trying to vid now & produce something glossy that'll live up to expectations. Still...may try :0>

I love the old vids. I still go back and watch them from time to time.

I have never made a vid but from a vid watcher's point of view I like them when the song matches the clips being used. There are lots of flashy vids around but some don't appear to really fit with the characters or the music being used. Just my 2 cents.
