lol i rarely have that problem. it all depends on the person too i suppose. i definately am aware that texts can be misinterpreted, therefore i don't take the content of them extremely seriously unless they clearly have a serious message contained in them. others might not do the same and i sometimes offend or confuse ppl but awell. if they get confused, they can ask and i will clear it up for them. if it gets too out of hand.. unfortunately a phonecall must be made! lol.
absolutely. I agree with that. But I especially hate it when someone texts me "HI" or "what's up". Because that is a lame ass way to initiate a TEXT conversation (same goes with emails). And unlike verbal comminucation... you are opening and closing communication that is one way without saying anything about what your intentions of initiating said conversation. So to me that is SOOOO lame. Because then I have to reply back "HI" or "what's up?" and there we just got nowhere.
Most of the time I will NOT reply to texts like that. I will delete them and forget they even happened. But what ticks me off even MORE is when someone sends a text like that and if I reply with a text that actually has some form of intelligent content then they don't bother texting back, but they CALL. Um, if I wanted to talk on the phone I would have called you already. Grrr.
I love to communicate with people. Don't get me wrong, but key word is "COMMUNICATE" not "COMMDUMBICATE". (Hehe, I miss inventing words)
LOL. oh man totally agree with that! my bf usually texts me "hey babe whats up?" after he's done work, and i always enjoy those messages even if im not doing anything, i'll tell him im just watchin tv or being bored and excitedly ask him how work went and what he's up to now and he'll say something like "work was gay. at home playin wow now" and then im at a loss.. and im like.. that's it? so.. are we finished this txt convo now? shit. haha. sometimes it's a little more in depth but there's a lot of times it's totally pointless and i'm left with an emptiness in my txting heart.
