Months after the rest of the world got this movie, it's finally out in limited release here. And I went to see it today, traveling an hour to the "nearest" theater.

And oh my godThis was such an incredible movie. Walking out of the theater into the bright hot sunshine was so disorienting; part of me was still in that dark, grim, cold world

I had not heard of it until you mentioned it here.

There was some controversy last year because Miramax wanted to release it with some scenes cut out because apparently they felt US audiences were too dumb to understand the movie with them included. Fortunately the movie has been released intact, but it's only in limited release.
