carlos mencia, once again: nothing makes a comedian less "edgy" and "controversial" when all they seem to do go on and on about how "edgy" and "controversial" they are. yeah, we get it, you're take-no-prisoners style of comedy is really outrageous. you're just saying what we're thinkin'.

my first writing class went well, and was very much a "first" class in that we were all kinda awkward and nervous, but our teacher chris is a cool fellow and helped us break the ice. we started out watching some (really great) snl skits and then discussing them, sort of breaking the jokes down and seeing where else they could go. i participated ( Read more... )

oh, by the way: i'm starting to get into Buffy the Vampire Slayer. fx replays the series in chronological order mon-fri, meaning i can zip though all seven seasons at a fairly brisk pace. i'm lucky to have caught it only a few episodes in on the first season, so i don't believe i've missed anything groundbreaking yet. so yeah...here's to being a ( Read more... )
