It's Saint Patrick's Day, that most Irish of holidays. I highly recommend that everyone celebrate in whatever manner they find appropriate. And now, a rhyme:

and it's Saint Patrick's Day,

OMG, I just taught the rhyme to Tom. I was thinking of posting the rhyme but I see that you did it. Coolness.

We celebrated by going to O'Flaherty's, the most popular irish pub in Nîmes, and drinking Guiness with nearly everyone we know. It was essentially all of the assisants and all of the friends we've made so far taking over a corner of the tent that they installed in front of the bar to hold extra people. PS, the bar was full. PS. The tent was full. PS. The street around the bar and tent was full of another hundred or so people. PS. Horror, but fun horror. Even though many of us were wearing green most of us got pinched in the butt, or pinched others in the butt, (or nipples, thanks elizabeth).

Also I sent penny the following text to tell her what was happening: "Going 2 flaherty's 2nite- don't forget to wear pink, and by pink i mean green. lol."

That sounds fun, if psychotic. I managed to not drink any guiness (because ewwww... vileness), but I did have baileys and and number of other things. Yum. I also managed to not get pinched in the butt/nipples. Weird.
