Ah, so I'm alone again. And how does it feel?

I finished Jane Eyre last night. I think reading more than half of it over the weekend had me so absorbed and within it's grasp that once it was over, I felt abandoned. Drea, a lot's going on in your mind right now that I can see. And to tell the truth, you are absolutely right about books. Books give ... a certain life to parallel your own, where thoughts which you may have are expressed through the various characters, or even a single character, in the work which you are reading. Philosophy, love, morals, everything is exemplified through all the conflicts that occur in your books (unless you're reading Dr. Seuss...). But the thing about books is the fantasy ends on the last page. Life, on the other hand, does not. Even on your last page, there are still millions of other stories going on. And even when everyone's gone, everyone you know, everyone you don't know, all human life on this earth, the story still continues with whatever new life there is ( ... )
