I wouldn't say it was easy to get into. Anyone less determined wouldn't have gotten in at all. And it was really the reference to logic that gave it away - for a few minutes, Harry thought like Snape, however unintentional that might have been.

As for bed. I was tired! It was two am! There is no bed! Well, there -is-; but I think we'll get to that later :)
