day 9 over all this diet is easier to stay on than most. We had chicken fajitas last night, with lettuce wraps instead of tortilla. It was still damn tasty, and if the temptation for cheese and sour cream was strong, it was overcome by the fact that I see positive results every day.

so far 5 lbs. not bad for a week. More importantly though, I weigh myself in the morning and at night. Partly because I am obsessive like that, and partly because it makes it easier for me to see trends. Both weights show consistent drops relative to each other. Also on my last attempt at a diet, 237 was a magic number, for some reason I could not seem to break that barrier. This time it wasn't even a bump.

And while Russ is mostly focusing on the weight, I'm perfectly happy with the fact that I sleep better, wake up energized, don't actually need coffee to function anymore, don't walk around in a brain fog, don't feel the need for a nap by the afternoon and generally just feel better. The weight loss is a happy bonus.

sigh I so wish but with carbs I get sleepy without carbs I get headaches with a hollow feeling and then the bitch comes out to play really crabby.
