I don't think the idea of being done with finals has ever seemed so wonderful before. In one week, like it or not, I will be done with them. I'm just very tired right now. I wish I could sleep, but work has to be done. Thus I am defeated by time mismanagement. I was never a good student, just an adequate one. Ah, well

What will be your new name?

I'm honestly not sure. I would prefer an alternative to my given name, but all the names that I'm comfortable with that are professional-sounding are male names, and changing my name from what's on my resume at the moment (and what is my legal name) could get complex. If this initial round of job applications doesn't pan out, I'll have more time to think it over.

You could pick one of the male names and declare that it's short for something else. Depending on how male it is, you may never have to justify it at all.
