Summary: Don't ask Kyuhyun to choose between Starcraft or Sungmin
A/N: Was inspired by something Kyuhyun said to Zhoumi in a fic written today and decided to use that line to create a new story. First attempt at a one-shot since I've been busy doing the GTL. Birthday fic for the birthday boy (you-know-who. No, not voldemort). Enjoy!
If anyone, (aside from the press and the fans of course) were to ask Cho Kyuhyun if a certain pink-bunny-loving-member from Super Junior or Starcraft occupied the bigger space in his heart, he would tell them that without a doubt, it was the pink-bunny-loving-member. Or Lee Sungmin for short if you want to look at things that way.
Unfortunately many people, including the members of Super Junior itself are not at all convinced of this fact.
Too many times has Sungmin been pulled aside to be asked if he's "alright" or "okay" by overly-sweet but far too concerned members (aka Ryeowook and Leeteuk) whenever Kyuhyun decided it was time to start on one of his ridiculous game streaks, involving at least 9 hours straight of staring at a computer screen mumbling incoherant words under his breath, doing victory jigs whenever he would succeed in clearing a stage or cursing loudly whenever he was overwhelemed by the enemy. All in all it was rather intriguing to watch and Eunhyuk and Donghae often spent long hours simply sitting on the sofa together, watching and sniggering at his behaviour.
But no matter how many hours of entertainment it always brings to the members, at the end of the day it leaves Sungmin feeling utterly lonely and undeniably bored earning him worried looks and Kyuhyun several dark scowls and prods to just "get off the dumb machine before your butt gets glued to the chair and your eyeballs melt".
But never for a second does Sungmin question Kyuhyun's love for him over the game. For he knows that in the end, it is he who takes first place in Kyuhyun's heart. And how does he know this?
Becuase Kyuhyun is the one who stays up late, helping Sungmin practise his singing and wakes up extra early so that he can join him on the rooftop to wish on the first sunrise of the year. The one who stays up all night when Sungmin can't sleep because his tummy is hurting too much from the expired ice cream he ate earlier, and the one who cancels his schedules to stay home and accompany him when he's nursing a splitting headache.
And for each and every one of those times when that happens, Sungmin looks up at the taller male and asks him "Don't you have other things to do? What about Starcraft?" Kyuhyun always replies "Starcraft? Min, Starcraft can wait." and proceeds to wrap an arm around his shoulders, bringing them even closer together.
