Bought an encyclopedia of Jewish humour today! Love it muchly. My current favourite goes like this:
The El Al plane from Israel to America (on its inaugural flight) was over the middle of the Atlantic ocean when suddenly an engine failed. The pilot at once informed the passengers that, unless a few of them bailed out, all the rest of the passengers would die. The plane load simply had to be lightened.
A Frenchman arose and yelled "Vive la France!" and leaped out of the open door. Then an Englishman arose and yelled, "Long live the Queen!" and jumped out.
Finally a Jew rose from his seat, yelled "Deutschland uber alles!" and pushed a German out the door.
