Two days ago I received word that I was not accepted into Einstein. This marks the first time I've cried in three and a half years. That was the only place where I got an interview. I'm going to be spending the next few days trying to figure out what I'm doing with the next year ( Read more... )

Oh tophat! I'm so sorry. :( I can't say off hand if I know of a place to seek employment, but I'll almost certainly be looking for meself soon, I would gladly keep my eyes open for you as well. Are you planning to reapply next year or even for potential spring admission? I strongly suggest you think about it - I know I'm in the midst of an application process for a school I really want to go to, and having applied once and failed to get it is almost a prerequisite for being accepted...well, at least think about it.

Again, I'm very sorry. :( If you need anything, feel free to call.

I heard from mom, and I'm so sorry. Apparently though a lot of people are having these problems at the moment with grad school. You're one of the most optomistic people I know, and I know this sucks but I would just keep doing my best(which I know you always do) and keep moving forward. You can get a job, you can travel, take time off, you can intern, and you can always try again. I love you and I hope you're ok. :-)

Sorry about the news. ;_; I don't know how set you are on grad school after this, but you could always reapply next year and spend the intervening time doing stuff to make your application more attractive. I was told by one prof that some grad schools don't accept most applicants the first time they apply.
