oh. my. gosh. when i read the words "Albus Severus" i totally lost it too. but i mean TOTALLY. i slammed the book closed and BURST into tears. i had to take a few minutes to calm down before i could dry my eyes enough to keep reading. and i just went downstairs a bit ago to get some juice after finishing the book and feeling exhausted for doing so and i told my brother i'd finished and i just started crying right there. my brother was cracking up at me and i just stood there crying. i'm an emotional wreck right now.

Oh my god. You're the only ones who will understand.

I have been emotionally drained. I don't think I have ever bawled that much over a SENTENCE! The sentence when Harry says "Albus Severus..." etc. is my absolute favorite AS WELL AS when Snape asks to look into Harry's eyes before he dies...because those eyes were Lilys *cries* "Look...at...me."

I love Snape. Lisa, we knew it! He was good! He was so damn good! And he loved Harry! Oh my freaken God! And you guys also knew that Harry was a Horcrux! This is too much to handle. Damnit, Rowling.

I'm glad you guys responded the same way!!! I just found it incredibly interesting that it was the Snape stuff that made me cry... not Harry being a Horcrux or dying, not the deaths of Fred, Colin, Dobby, Lupin or Tonks... but simply because the truth came out about Snape, and I really began to realize how much suffering he went through in for love of Lily. I also loved how, by the end of the book, Dumbledore was shown to be much less good than we thought he was, and Snape much better.

Definitely! Biggest irony EVER! My awe of Dumbledore totally decreased and increased for Snape after Rowling exposed all of Dumbledore's flaws and told us about Snape's pure and good motive.

And I suppose Snape has more of that greatness now because he died for something, whereas Dumbledore was more or less stuck with death (of course Dumbledore's goodness is shown throughout the series, but I think this minor detail was just another piece that makes us like Snape so much more towards the end).

Ah, Albus Dumbledore. What a great way for Harry to honor someone he's always admired, and to honor someone he discovered the good in.

I can't say I cried, but there were parts when my eyes got misty. Anytime Mrs. Weasley was around her children because I had a sense of foreboding. And when Mr. Weasley cried next to Fred. When Aberforth told the truth about their sister. And of course, when Snape's love for Lily was revealed.

I'm quite pleased to have a reason to like Professor Snape. Even more so, I'm glad I listened to you when you insisted he should be trusted. Well done.
