Yesterday I tried and failed to get a job at BB&B. I applied at Staples, and today I half applied at Target. Maybe it's just not my fate to get a job, who knows. Whew! I'm finally back home after spending the Fourth of July at my dad's house. I basically spent the last three days eating, setting off (legal) fireworks, sitting out in the sun, eating, watching movies, power washing various surfaces, eating, and being followed by a very small cat. Today's been a massive day of firsts. This morning I went with my sister to drop some stuff off at Goodwill, and then we went to Starbucks. I've been done with school for nearly a week now. So far the summer has gotten off to a good start, what with the F4 sequel and random gatherings of old friends. Not to mention carpet!

My number one priority now is finding a job. And staying sane. 

After disjointedly working on them for 4+ days, I have finally finished my two history essays. I probably wasted way too much time on them, because I haven't yet studied for any of my other finals. Bio 101 is today at 3:30 (I was going to fill out the study guide this morning and call it good, haha), and I have to turn in the essays by 5 pm. ( Read more... )

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End was fabulous, thank you very much. I saw it twice (in a 12 hour period) and absolutely loved it! Although I was sad that Norrington had to die (he was by far the best part of POTC2), I actually accepted Will's fate with relative ease. And Barbossa was FANTASTIC.
