Hey, it's Annie. I wasn't able to follow you to Grumpy's on Thursday but it looks like I've been blessed with a night of non-child-filled fun. I will, therefore, be able to join you for your b-day. I'll so not be bringing a gift but consider one of your alcoholic bevereges paid for.

I won't know anyone but you (who I don't really actually know either), which could make it a tad awkward. Anyway, I promise not to try and get you to take care of me.
