Grrr...

I'm kind of pissed off. I went to news.yahoo.com earlier this morning. I often go to that site to read Dear Abby advice columns. However, I was not too happy about what I saw on the front page of the Yahoo! news page. It was a large photo of Seung-Hui Cho pointing a gun directly at the camera. I knew that the Virginia Tech story would be front ( Read more... )

He MAILED that shit to NBC News. Look at all the pictures...read what he said...you know why it took two hours between the first and second shootings? HE WROTE THAT UP AND MAILED IT FIRST.

Fucking madman...mentally deranged...it just keeps getting worse. I am no longer bewildered by his parents' decision to commit suicide. =/ If something I had tried to raise with love turned out to be...that...*shakes head*

I KNOW he wrote that shit. I read what he said. I saw some of the pictures. I just don't want to have the guy pointing a gun at me.

Did his parents really commit suicide? I haven't seen that in the news anywhere. Do you have a link?

It isn't confirmed yet, it was in a Japanese newspaper though. My friend read about it in Japan and posted about it.

I love how everyone's like "You're giving him attention!" He doesn't care, guys. Y'know, DEAD and all.

He may not care, but a few crazy people out there looking for attention might see him as a hero or want to do the same thing. These are not logical people and they are looking to make a splash, even if they have to die to do it. After all, Cho mentioned the Columbine kids, calling them martyrs, possibly looking up to them. I am by no means saying the Columbine kids actually caused Cho to go on his rampage, but he certainly took notice of them.

It seems to me that this kind of violence showing up so explicitly in the news all the time just helps us all, crazy or not, become desensitized to it. I could have easily gotten all the facts and understood the gravity of the situation without having that photo thrown at me without warning.

I hated that picture. Cho should NEVER get one second of publicity for his actions.

Yes, the media is really overdoing it. As usual.

Yeah, I found that rather annoying too. They don't need to post those pictures everywhere. I understand some pictures, like the ones where he doesn't have a gun in his hand. >< they should only link to those things.
