Congratulations to the Detroit Red Wings on a great series win this morning at 1 freaking thirty Eastern Daylight Time. I should thank you for not going to FOUR overtimes like some other teams. Ha ha! My husband stayed up for it and boy was he hard to drag out of bed at 7:30 that morning.

Yeah, it sucks staying up for a game and then watching your team lose. One of the biggest sucky moments of being a hockey fan.

I'm actually quietly rooting for Dallas in this series (quietly because my husband can't stand the Stars). I really like Marty Turco and would like to see him really and truly get the playoff monkey off his back. In my opinion, he pretty much has already (3 shutouts in one series!), but if he wins in Game 7, nobody can say he chokes.

Not to mention that if Dallas wins tonight, they get the Wings in the next round and there's about a 1% chance of the Stars winning that series. Especially because jackass fans will overrun the AAC and the Wings will basically get as many home games as they need to win.

True enough (Wings fans overrunning AAC). There are Red Wings everywhere. They're like the New York Yankees (blech). I went to a Wings game in Tampa Bay a few years ago and the Wings fans were about 50/50 with the home fans. The Wings people got their "Let's Go Red Wings" cheers going, even without the help of the home crowd and game announcer. It must be aggravating for home teams to deal with that. :P If the Wings and Sharks end up playing each other, though, Detroit will not have it quite so easy. I hear the Shark Tank is pretty hostile to visitors.

I cut my hockey teeth on Red Wings Hockey, though, so I have to root for them. Best of luck, all the same! :)
