I think we have a sort of equivalent here in South Australia - the Murray Magpie. It doesn't just dive-bomb cats, tho'! It has been known, in nesting season, to dive-bomb people walking, people cycling, cars, and anything else these evil-eque birds take a disliking to! ;D There are signs up around the city, warning people to be careful around these scary little birds! They like to swoop on hats, heads, you name it, they attack! =D
