I got a massage yesterday. My mom is a licensed massage therapist and she took care of me after hours at her place of employment (a chiropractor's office). My back is really messed up because I've been slouching bad at my desk at work. After a massage you're supposed to drink a lot of water to flush toxins out of your system and I did, but I'm ( Read more... )

Could you buy a large gift bag, and put it in there and carry it on the plane? You could stow your carry on in the overhead compartment and that could go under the seat in front of you, like a purse might.

That's a good idea, too! I'm glad I posted about this. My hat is no longer causing a crisis situation. :)

I go to remedial massage about once a month, so I know how tender you must feel right now! Have you tried some heat-wheat packs? They're microwaveable, usually filled with wheat and/or lavender. You can put them around your neck, on your knees, under your back, or under your calves when sitting or lying down... they really do help.
Either them, or... hot-water bottles! The warmth from hot-water bottles lasts longer than heat-wheat packs, but they aren't quite so moveable...

(Oh, and BTW, I am also known as hartzwatergirl; that's how you know me...!) ;)

I've been icing it for a few days, but it's probably time to use heat. I've never heard of heat-wheat packs, but my husband once made a neck thing with rice. You take an old (but clean) sock, fill it with rice, tie it shut and put it in the microwave. It stays warm pretty long and you can use it for a long time without it getting icky. I bet I could add lavender or something to it for a nice scent. Thanks for the suggestions!

You can get a round fabric covered box for around $6.00 at Ross if you have one nearby - that could work.

Thanks! I will check at Ross.

That's quite a hat Camilla is wearing.

Maybe you should make an extra hat for Camilla. Like one that is smaller than a XL pizza.
