I feel your pain. I dunno a thing about hockey but when Kyle Busch wins a Nascar race instead of Dale Earnhardt, Jr., I feel like having a riot and scream for the HOURS I WASTED ON IT. GAH!

Sports are tough on the blood pressure is what.

I hate Kyle Busch.

Yes, I'm sure my blood pressure was pretty up there. I was on the edge of my seat for about 2 hours and that kind of thing is hard to maintain!

Yeah I was sad to hear it :( I don't say it too loud tho, I have a feeling most people around here are rooting Pittsburgh because a local guy here plays on the team.

Yeah, seems like it might be dangerous to support the Red Wings in Canada in general. :-D

Do you know who the local player is? Detroit has a guy who will be the first Newfoundlander to win the Cup if they win it.

Sidney Crosby from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, which is just south of me. One of the many towns that the municipality has swallowed up.

Oh, yeah, Sidney Crosby. Any hockey fan who has not been living under a rock for the last 3 years knows who he is. "The Next Wayne Gretzky." He really is an incredible player, just amazing to watch, and he's only going to get better. He's only 20 years old and already one of the best in the league. He'll definitely win the Stanley Cup at some point in his career, even if the Wings win this year.

Be reassured, though, that the Wings have plenty of weapons in their arsenal as well, namely Nick Lidstrom, Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk. Also very amazing and fun to watch.

As a Los Angeles resident, I have to chew my fingernails through the Lakers/Celtics NBA champsionship series that starts on Thursday. So I feel your pain!

I was hoping for a Lakers/Pistons championship. Two Detroit teams winning championships in the same year would be a historic event. But alas, it was not to be.

Good luck!

Those of us with no horse in the race thought last night's game was awesome.

And do you really expect Pittsburgh to win two more games when they are CLEARLY the second-best team in the series?

It was an awesome game if you're not a Wings fan, but my blood pressure was definitely up!

I don't expect Pittsburgh to win, but I feel only about 94% sure that the Wings will win the Cup. Detroit is the better team, but Sidney Crosby really is a force of nature. He can make things happen.

If the Wings dominate Game 6, my 6% of doubt will tick away as the game goes on. I hope they do it tonight. I am surprised how stressed out this makes me. The last time the Wings won the Cup I was studying in Spain and couldn't watch any games, so it wasn't quite as nerve-wracking (also, Carolina was not as formidable a foe as Pittsburgh). The time before that I knew nothing about hockey except the names of two players - Wayne Gretzky and Sergei Fedorov.

By the way, some really good play by your Stars. I think Marty Turco is awesome and seems like a cool guy. I hope he wins the Cup someday. He and Brad Richards make me like the Stars a lot more than I used to.
