I survived my wisdom teeth removal surgery just fine last Thursday. No problems with anesthesia or anything. I had very little bruising and my swelling has mostly gone down (after 5 days). The worst part of it is just the recovery. The Percocet they gave me took the edge off the pain, but I haven't been pain-free since before my surgery ( Read more... )

This year the second annual "Last Man Standing" holiday party was held at work, hosted by some coworkers downstairs. It's just food and company in a nicely decorated office, for those of us who are still at work on the last day before the university closes down for the holidays. I went to see Triumph of Love Saturday. It's a musical based on a play by the French playwright Marivaux. My mommy played Hesione and she was AWESOME. I'm a little biased, I'm sure, but it was so cool! She even made me tear up a little during her song, "Serenity." I love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday of the year. The weather is still nice down here and I get to simply hang out with my loved ones and eat freaking awesome food. I can't believe Steve Irwin died! I mean, I guess he was going to die sometime, but he was only 44. It was really weird, too, as it's difficult to get killed by a stingray, but this one stung him right on the chest and put a hole in his heart. It's so sad. I really loved watching him. I cried on my way home from class Tuesday night, from sheer exhaustion and overwhelmedness (?). My instructor is somewhat confusing. He spends a good amount of time lecturing and he was just piling us up with homework. An hour before class got out my brain began overflowing and I had a hard time concentrating.
