i got home from work a little while ago and caught up on the lj drama. wow, its gotten out of hand this time. people who feel the need to personally attack other people over livejournal really make me feel bad for them. you are not required to comment, so lets all learn a little bit from a rabbit i used to know "if you cant say something nice, dont say nuffin at all". ok, im done being incredibly goody two shoes now. is it two shoes or too shoes or to shoes? i have never seen it written out.
work was insane tonight. i have closed once before on a game day, but it was a day game and we were dead all night. we were busy all night long tonight though. i even ran out four (4) deliveries after we closed at 3:00. it wasnt a crazy busy though, it was a nice structured, under control busy, and it was a really good night. we had seven closing drivers, which is more than we have ever had, and we needed them all. i was the top driver, taking out $621.00 worth of food (i dont remember how many deliveries). I took out over $100.00 more than the second place driver. i made eight bonuses, which means i get an extra $40.00 on my pay check on friday. i made $33.00 in commission. and i made $90.00 in tips. i also worked for ten hours (almost) for an estimated salary of $57.50 for tonight. so my total earnings with my take-home of $123.00, and $97.50 on my paycheck equal $220.50 for tonight. in ten hours, equals a little over $22.00 an hour. id say it was a pretty good night. i dont think ill be mad if they want me to close on game nights in the future.
ive decided that i really like sandwiches. they are a great snack. they are relatively healthy (meaning not fried) and you can put whatever you want on them. they dont need a plate, they taste great, and they are just all around a supreme choice for consumption. so, here's to sandwiches.
i hung out with my girl friends last night and we talked about sex, and the gyno, and periods, and boys, and having children, and getting married, and just tons of stuff that you cant talk to guys about. it was a lot of fun. so thank you rao and kristin and jessica (even though you were asleep for most of the talking). and im supposed to have the girls over again tomorrow to watch the last of our girly movies. i am excited. i love getting together with the old group. it makes me happy.
my hair is starting to get long again, i like that.
lucas came over yesterday for dinner. i cooked mashed potatoes and peas and corn and green beans and breadsticks and salad. he grilled the steaks on the barbque. it was very fun. and VERY filling. i still have one and a half steaks left. then we laid on the couch together and watched tv for awhile. i like just chilling out. i dont let myself do that very often. i usually want to be getting things done, and my life doesnt have much down time anymore. it was very relaxing to just sit around and eat and watch tv. until i had to do the dishes... but that didnt take nearly as long as i thought it would. i like the fact that he likes to cook cause i am a terrible cook. sewing is pretty much the only domesticated thing i am decent at doing. i like to think that i can clean house, and iron, and cook but i really suck at all of that. ill still do it, cause i like it, but i suck at it. sadly im good at changing my tire, changing my oil, playing basketball (for recreation), delivering pizza, watching football, and drinking beer. oh well.
