I am back! And with me I bring the second part of my 'primer/picspam/video spam' thing.
SO. FIGHTSTAR.
From left to right: Alex Westaway (guitar/vocals), Charlie Simpson (vocals/guitar), Dan Haigh (bass), Omar Abidi (drums).
Fightstar is the first band of the Simpsons brothers I encountered, and the first one I felt completely in love with. They're the 'hardest' one, but also the most known. Their sound is very - how to say this...big? Big riffs and big melodies and it takes you away, it tells you a lot of stories.
It was love at first sight when I saw this:

This song opened my eyes to them, to Charlie and what he made me feel with that voice of his. I never really looked back.
(to be honest I didn't see how hot he is until Von opened my eyes, but nevermind. He's always been compelling to me anyway ^^. Well, not in Busted, but that's a past I do not want to think about anymore ^^.)

They can change r'n'b songs into something much more.
Their first album was about showing they're a rock band, that Busted's over and that their style has nothing to do with Busted. Their second album was to be considered established, to be taken seriously. And their third album, that they basically made all by themselves, was for them. The music they wanted to do, truly. And that album is so good. Not that the first two are not, because they are, but yeah. I'm just very proud of them because I've been following them since 2006 and at the time they only had one album out and it wasn't all that easy. Basically encountered them a few weeks after McFly :').

Paint Your Target. <3 that song and that video so hard.
First time I got to see them live, despite having been a fan for ages, was last year. But God, since I moved, how did I compensate for 3 years of no Fightstar gigs in my life. Saw them 5 times in a few months, am seeing them again early March, excited about the prospect of an acoustic gig so much.
Live, they're unbelievable. So much energy, and yet Alex barely moves when they're on stage - Dan and Charlie compensate for him, though. They're just so powerful, they wash over you like a tidal wave when they're playing. I don't think I could ever get tired of seeing them live, honestly.

This is their latest single and I love this song so hard. it's part of a re-release of their third album, with a dvd from an acoustic gig they did and a few new songs. It's out in March and I'm very excited to get my pre-order home ^^.
And I shall stop now. I could post a million CHarlie pictures just to show how absolutely gorgeous he is, but there's no point, is there? Ahah! Okay. Done. Get their music and tell me you love them, because they are grand!
