I both admire how driven you feel and worry about your stress levels. 25 is not that different from 24, or 26, or 30. Really.

But it is different in some ways. I never realized it, but "juniors" clothes are different--your body notably changes as you age (at least for women) and stuff that used to fit fine, I tried it on a few days ago and it's ill fitting in totally new ways (it's age, not weight gain, as I have not gained any weight, what I have is just redistributing itself oddly).

In many ways, it is just a number, but it's also a useful anchor, particularly in these 5yr jumps, 20, 30, 15, 35, 5! It's also not just 25, but I won't be going to school this fall so then it's 26+2 or 26+3yrs or it starts getting far beyond this year pretty quickly.

Also, I've been marveling at what my life would have been like if we didn't have cable growing up! It's so easy to just keep on keeping on. And watching lots of awesome syndication.

your friend is right.....25 isn't different from 24 or 30. coming from someone who is 28 going on 29....i can say my high school years WERE different, as were college years....it's more about phases than actual numbers. "growth periods" if you will. haha.

juniors clothes become different for everyone at some point - i think has a lot more to do with lifestyle than with actual age.
