“Oooh, look at this one, he’s so hot!”
“He’s taken, remember?”
“Yeah, but check it out; you can see every single muscle in those army blues!” General squealing.
“Not Army: Air Force, actually. Two tours in Afghanistan. He was a Senior Airman - a Sergeant, I guess you could say.”
“Oh, wow, a veteran! I bet he has all sorts of heroic stories…”
“You can have that one, so long as I get this one.”
“Aww, I wanted him! He’s the cute one…”
“Fine, take the cute one, but then I call the hot one!”
“What?! I already called the hot one!”
“I feel like we’re claiming dibs on the Jonas brothers.”
“Again.”
“Aww, look at the cute one in this photo! He’s playing with dolphins!”
“Yeah, that was taken on their honeymoon.”
“They’re married? I thought they lived in New York?”
“Symbolic honeymoon. Anyway, they went to Florida, and while they were down there, they got to play with dolphins. I was so jealous, but then dad took me to Sea World to make it up to me.”
“Didn’t you go to Sea World, like, four years ago?”
“Yeah, I did.”
“Wow, they’ve been together that long?!”
“Like I said, they’re really committed. Gotta love ‘em.”
“And they’ve never had any problems or anything?”
“Well, the usual stuff. Plus their jobs are pretty high-stress, so sometimes there’s some tension, but for the most part they’re really chill.”
“Didn’t you say we could go over some time?”
“Yeah, they said I could bring friends over… I don’t think they really meant it, but I’m gonna take them up on the offer anyway.”
“Remind me, Alexis - how do you know these guys, again?"
