i agree dina. a lot of the kids who get straight a's think they are better then everyone just because they are smart on paper. but really, we are just as smart as them, even smarter but they jsut work harder. success can come in many different forms. you dont have to be a brain sergan to be successful. i know a lot of people who went to some prestigious, however you spell it college and they are out of a job. there is a HUGE difference between having people skills, and having book skills. if you have people skills, you can make it anywhere in life. i love these two quotes

they can't even have a decent conversation with me. it's like, where are your people skills? and honestly, i don't care if i don't get into an ivy league school. im going where i want to go, and at least i can respect myself through all those derrogatory comments.
those two quotes were very true. but i don't think its the media that makes us hypocritical. i think its whats going on around us that makes us this way. i mean, some people believe in being a vegitarian, animal activist, etc. but they go off and eat meat and buy purses and all that stuff. and im not saying that i was an animal activist. but i was a vegitarian for lent, and i stayed true to that. so why can't people just do that?
its so hard for people to stay true to the promises they make.

college is what you make of it, it doesnt matter where you go. and thats good you dont care what they think when they make stupid comments like that. with the whole media thing, i didnt mean they make us hypocritical....didnt make myself clear with that one. but yes i totally agree, i think the new thing at our school is to say "i am for gay marriage, im a vegeitarian, i hate bush" but meanwhile they make fun of gays, eat meat, and can never back up their opinions intelligently why they hate bush. its cool if you go by what you say, but whats you cant go back on your word, your just being a hypocrite. for example, i know someone who was ranting the other day about how lesbians and gays should get married. but then jokingly she went up to me and said "i saw ms dales wife lucy LOLZ!!" i was like wtf? but whatever, people are ignorant. well dina I LOVE YOU. yeah ur right but i never said i wanted to make them feel bad for their intelligence, i said that they are very gifted. but they shouldn't use their gifts to bring other people who aren't as intelligent as them, down. i think it's fair, i could be just as smart as any of those people if i tried. but i don't. i think anybody can.

but at the time i wrote this entry, i was frustrated because someone always has to laugh at me...every time i answer a question, especially in science. as if im too dumb to even be alive. and it's not like i care that they laugh at me, it's the fact that they use their intelligence for something beneficial to themselves so they can put everybody else down.
so yeah. there's my point.
i do have a great life, and i do take advantage of it every day. which is a horrible habit. i need to stop that, anyways. yeah, it's not like you don't know how to make me smile.

i guess we just know eachother too well, haha
