yo i agree with you, folks in the asian american community really gots to support not only efforts like hyphen, but other politically empowering, anti-orientalist, and counterhegemonic work. that's whats up!
shit makes me angry. maybe i should have taken out that white punk the other nite as part of a much needed, passive aggressive cleansing process. "americans" need to be put in their place sometimes, shooooot.
yo- tony linked to your livejournal, so i started reading. didn't know that Hyphen is all volunteer-run!! used to work for Eastwind Books in Berkeley, but never picked up a copy.
i'm looking for things to do after graduating from school this year... so it would be cool to meet the people of Hyphen and work with them. also- i grew up in a suburb by L.A., so even though i've been in Berkeley since 2001, i'm still getting used to the existence of a nearby Asian American community. thanks for representing.
