I had a spinal tap back when I was junior high. I had started getting these headaches and would get nauseated (I never got headaches before that). I stayed at the hospital for two days and they did a spinal tap. They never found out what was wrong with me, they said it was some mystery virus, I started to feel better after a couple of days and was completely better after a week.
Then, once every other year, I would get those symptoms again for a few days until about the end of my teen years.
Don't know if this helps - the docs said they had no idea what was wrong with me. But I got better. Tell Tony I wish him well. If you want give me a call and I can tell you more about what I went thru back then.
oy, that sounds terrible. i wonder if it's the same thing going on with T. he was also feeling nauseous when he got the headache, but i thought it was because he was dehydrated. i may give you a call later. thanks!
something that can help is massaging the base of the back of the head where it meets the neck. its where a lot of the nerves are and if you're in pain it can tense of the muscles around the nerves causing headaches. start at the base of the back of the head and work your way down the neck. another good massage "trail" is starting on either side of the inside of your eyebrows (closest to your eyes) to the temples, to behind the ears, to the base of the jaw. even if you're not in pain it still feels good and helps relax facial/neck/head muscles.
hope this helps girl! tell tony i hope he feels better and let me know if there's anything i can do.
hi lady, thanks for your support. i'm always scared to massage other ppls' necks. but i do love the eyebrow massage. ! Tony is feeling a little better. thanks for the suggestions. hey Sandra Oh is going to be at a panel in NYC on Monday, i think. ! thought of you.
