half-way caught up!

yup, i've read 134 books so far this year, so this post will put me at the half-way point for posting them:P Not at all near my goal of never-being-more-than-10-behind, but at least i'm catching up *fingers crossed* before the new year, which will be an improvement on last year at least;P

Also, I did like the Burma Chronicles, but I think a lot of my pleasure in it came from the shift in focus to his own life after two previous stories (Pyongyang and Shenzen) where his own life was much emptier and less present, & he focused on the place he was living in... I don't know that I would've liked it nearly as much out of order.

don't know how i missed this! thanks for the cheering;) and the explanation on Burma Chronicles. i'm a little surprised the library chose one out of order, but i guess it's not "really" a series, and they chose his newest....
