I have a friend named Bob who has a thing for Mary, and Mary is John's sister. Bob and John are close friends. Bob wants me to talk to Mary, but I keep telling him that John will get mad if he finds out. I know Bob is a nice guy with good intentions but I'm afraid of John's reaction ( Read more... )

Don't get involved. Easy as that. No matter how hard it is going to affect both sides. Sometimes it makes sense to not get involved.

If Bob really has a thing for Mary then he should be a man and talk to Mary himself instead of being a pussy. If Jon and Bob are really close friends, Jon should know Bob's character and if Jon doesn't have a problem with Bob then there shouldn't really be a problem. Unless Jon is overprotective, then that would suck.

I talked to bob over the weekend and told him not to be a pussy. john is very over protective.

I would almost say don't get in2 it.
