i never knew that south america was so much further east! i thought it went straight down like on maps. but itis all dark there and light here still!

Yeah! I didn't realise the time zones should really be all slanty. Like, I'm looking now and half the Great Lakes region and New England are light, but Florida and all the rest of the Southeast and I think even Virginia is still dark! Mental.

is it cause of being so close to solstice? so the days are almost all day up north nights are almost all night down south?
