You know something...I don't think I am cut out to be a friend. I don't know what it is about me, but it seems that people think I am fun and all that, but then as they get to know me more and more, they decide they don't like me anymore. Is it just something about me? Or is that just something I have to deal with? I don't get it. It really ( Read more... )

I have learned that most people don't get to know you unless they truely want to know you. Not the you they want to know, the you that is there. And as far as them knowing you, at your/our age its hard. We are constantly changing because we are discovering who we are. Those who knew you so well last summer prolly don't have a clue now because they haven't stayed that close all winter. I've found that unless you keep really constant contact, no one really knows you. I thought I knew certain people, but after extended periods of not speaking, I don't know them at all. The only solution to this problem is for the other person to want to find out who you have become, and you to let them. Its really not your fault, or anything you can change. Now, as far as sharing your findings... I have discovered that sharing Catholic beliefs with non Catholics is incredibly tricky to do. There are very few people you can be excited about that stuff with. Stick to the Catholics, unless others really want to know. Otherwise, they do tend to ( ... )

You are a great friend. I guess the only thing is that sometimes you seem to be better at being befriended than at being a friend. =/ That's too honest for comfort. I'm sorry. I love you to pickles and death and really enjoyed all the awesome time I got to spend with you as well as the good things I learned. You're probably not as bad at the whole FRIEND thing as you think. You're just in a small pond without very many options.
