K always says my coolest friends come from the internet and particularly LJ, so I still don't get how he hates the internet.

The first person to call me in the hospital and wish me congrats for Iris' birth was a LJ user from the east coast. She figured since I hadn't been online I must have had the baby!

And I still get all silly feeling inside when I think about chatting you up when I was in labor with E.

I used to say things like "my online friend" or my "real life" friends. I don't say those things anymore. My friends are my friends....and I cherish the depth of the friendships I've made here on LJ, where I've shared some of my deepest and darkest moments.

I'm very excited to meet everyone....but also kind of nervous that you'll think we're weird or that we'll say "Oot" and "Aboot". o_O

Don't worry, I already know you're weird. Duh. And we've spoken on skype before! I love your speaking voice!

Nosce can attest that I'm very much like how I am online: totally all up in your business and a know-it-all.

I'm not sure how same/different I am in person v. online. You'll have to tell me ;)

I was going through photo's 2 days ago and I found pictures of when you came to Australia and we met! Our boys were so little back then. :)

It's weird isn't it? I only got into LJ because Mary Jo was leaving town and this was the way we could connect....6 years later, and I have forged real friendships online. Keypike and I live relatively close I think.
