Gameboy question

Gameboy question for those that have one or had one. Can you play old Gameboy Advance SP games on a gameboy color? My Gameboy Advance SP finally kicked the bucket not to long ago after having it since I was a kid. And I looked on ebay, their like a $100 and up for semi good used one's. But Gameboy colors are a bit cheaper

I've asked my spouse, who knows all things video-gamish. His answer: No. He suggests getting a Nintendo DS because all of those will play the gameboy advanced games and they have a rechargeable battery and a backlit screen,, like the SP. And there are a lot of DS games you can play too. If it is a DS light, the cartridges will stick out a little, but they'll play fine. They will fit on a regular DS. Don't confuse it with the 3DS. He checked on EBay and says you can get a DS for $25. The DS won't play the regular Gameboy or Gameboy Color Games like the GBA/SP did however.

The link you game is only for the box and manual so don't buy that, but yes that is a Nintendo DS in the picture. He also says to tell you that you should make sure that the one you buy comes with a charging cable.

Thank you and him for the information. Ah, I didn't even notice that, thanks for pointing that out. What about Nintendo DS Lite? Is that the same thing as the regular Nintendo DS? Do they still play the gameboy advance games to?

No you can't because color was before gameboy advance.
