I miss my air mattress. I actually prefer a nice air mattress on the floor to a bed up in the air. But I have to use this little bed, because the air mattress would take up too much floor space. I could do it, but I'd feel too crowded, I think.
Oddly enough, the best air mattress I've had was my $15-ish camping one (Coleman, I think, and queen size, dark blue) from Walmart, not the $50 self-inflating, or velour top, or anything. I got a separate 4-battery pump for $12-ish that works the same as the built in pump from the super-expensive self-inflating kind. Sure, it doesn't have the final "firmness" air-adding pump, but I used the detachable nozzle from the battery pump to blow more air into it, so works fine. >^_^<
Although such a thing becomes quite a worry when there are cats around. But they seemed to do alright, once they were big enough to be able to jump without climbing.
I miss cats... Definitely wouldn't want to keep one here though, way too small place. So now I just have to visit other peoples' cats...
The bed did finally come. Huzzah! We don't have to remember to refill the damn air mattress every night. And hopefully it'll be warmer, since air mattresses can be a bit cold. However, I still don't think there's enough room for you to hide under it. :-P
Oh, and I might start banishing things to the basement tonight, if I don't feel too lazy. I might go to Aikido, too, but the various pains that come and go in my right leg have been bothering me today. So we'll see.
A real bed is nice but no, there's not much room to hide me or anything else under there. Que lastima. Various pains are bothering me too, and they'll probably be around long enough to prevent me from going to SCA practice Sunday night. Hopefully I'll be pain-free and obligation-free on Tuesday for Aikido....
