I'm jealous! Another friend of mine won a trip to the Bahamas and just got back last night. Spent most of the time drinking bahama mamas on the beach mmmm....maybe next spring break :-P
good luck with the job search! what are you looking for?
I didn't drink any Bahama Mamas, just a couple of other rum-based drinks... and it wasn't on a beach. I feel inferior now.
As for jobs, I need something full time with room for advancement, preferably a salaried position. I'm not terribly picky beyond that, but I'll probably need to start looking outside of Maine for it.
Yeah, you would think that a vacation implies that you shouldn't have to rush or worry, but for some reason I have a 4 year history of taking "vacations" with responsibilities attached. My advisor is with a group of 20+ students in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras right now, and it's the first year I haven't been with them... I wonder how they're doing.
We'll have to go someplace a little less touristy next time - even places in Europe are nice when you can buy bread and produce and stuff at the street markets and just visit a more touristy place or two (like Venice!). But I'd prefer not to be taking vacations with 20+ college students anytime in the near future...
