I'm finally home and rested from my competition. This will probably end up being a very stream of consciousness-style entry since the whole experience is a blur, and I was dehydrated and carb depleted for part of it. (
Just to tweak the impatient, I will say that I came home with something. You'll have to read the entry to find out how I did. )

And hee, waffles. Yes, you will indeed enjoy having your cake and eating it again. The night after I competed, I went to a restaurant and ordered two desserts just for myself.
Very well done and I enjoyed reading about your experience.
(And it's true, female competitors ALWAYS get the nicer changing room :p )

It's amazing how good normal food tastes. Oddly, I really like eating rice cakes. It might be the lack of carbs, but I thought they had a pleasant, but faint flavor.
The difference between the men's and women's areas wouldn't have bothered me if the men's area had adequate lighting.

It's hard to say how well I would have done if there had been more competition. First-timers almost never beat more experienced participants.

Again, well done!

It's amazing how much I learned going through all this the first time.

You are going to go so much farhter next time though, Bud.
And doesn't it feel great to eat again? Hurhurhur, your taste buds are jumping with joy, arn't they? XD

Right next to one of my most prized possessions was the only place to put it, both literally and figuratively.
I'll definitely go farther next time. I've learned just how much harder I have to push myself to get where I need to be next time.
You have no idea how good real food is after going without for so long. My tastebuds are in overdrive, so even the slightest amount of flavor seems huge.

Again, Major congrats, Bud. <=)

I think I would've been boggled to see so many huge women o.0
And you total kudos on a trophy...that's a ridiculously gutsy and disciplined thing you did, so you totally earned it. I could never do that. Congrats :-)
I only just looked up the weight classes. A bantam weighs less than a feather?? And oy, I need to go on a diet again apparently.
Don't make me comment on how to better deal with the long hair ;-)

I kept expecting some of them to talk in the third-person and demand snu-snu.
If it weren't for your job, I think you could definitely do it. Perfect discipline is only required during the last few weeks before the show and at the show itself.
This competition didn't have a featherweight class. I don't think many of them do. You're actually at the weight I should have reached before cutting.
Yeah, we all know your thoughts on men's hairstyles.
