I didn't even think of that.

If I had started addressing my mental health issues sooner, plus had not been complacent in my white, middle-class privilege, I would have talked about it sooner. But what's done is done.

But then, I thought it was a more minor issue than so many others. Maybe it is, comparatively. I don't know.

Wow! I didn't even think of that. Interesting. Bernie was campaigning as Bernie and Hillary as Hillary and I suppose once the primaries were over whoever won should have gone to the last name.

You know, I didn't even think about how Sanders was campaigning with his first name. I wonder if that had something do with his populist appeal or if it was just because of the convenience of the "feel the Bern" catchphrase. But maybe it was a Democrat thing rather than a gender thing....

For me, it was because it just suited him. And yeah, very populist.

No, I agree. I notice that everyone -- journalists included -- referred to her by her first name only recently myself, and started calling her by her last name in comments recently. You're absolutely right.

ty; It's good to know that I'm neither a) alone, or b) crazy. Of course, I suppose I could still be crazy, but if I am, I know that I'm not alone.

Nah, definitely not crazy. Made perfect sense to me.
