Surrender & Resist

Do you ever feel that no matter how hard you try to resist the devil, you fail, or do you ever feel like giving up because you feel that you can't resist? If that's the way you've felt, I just want you to know, you're right. There is no way you can resist the devil....

one thing I might add is that we can't resist the devil! We have to surrender to Christ and then not try to resist the devil, but let Christ fight the devil for us! WE must remember that even Gabriel couldn't get past the devil in Daniel, and we think we can? WE have to let Jesus do the fighting and not just let HIm be the co-pilot and help us! Remember, Jesus already won the victory and He can give it to us! "Ye shall not need to fight in this battle, set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you"! =) Hope that makes some sense! =S

I guess I was somewhat trying to get a similar point across when I said "We have to fully surrender our lives to Christ-be willing to do anything and everything that He asks us to-before we can resist."
We can't just sit back and not do anything and expect that He's going to save us...we have to do our part too...

correct...our part is to surrender to Christ and then believe that Christ will give us the victory and be by our side and fight our battles!
