Doctor Who

So I'm watching Dark Water, and the Doctor can fix things for Clara and Danny, but he wouldn't even consider fixing things for Jack and Ianto, or just for Jack. Time can be rewritten except for Jack?

You can thank RTD for that. I think he had something against Jack - maybe because he couldn't kill him.

And of course, there's no such thing as continuity in this 'verse. Whatever the writer wants, that's what happens, regardless of what's gone on before.

I'm really having trouble seeing this as a children's show, too. Every episode is more disturbing than the last, it seems, and I would not let my young children watch it. As much as I love Capaldi, I miss Eleven, who at least had some fun in it, and a certain amount of hopeful joy going on here and there.

Yeah, I don't think I'll ever stop missing Eleven, he was so much fun.

The show has certainly gone a lot darker. There are some episodes I've loved, others I've been a bit dubious about, but it's a lot more adult than it used to be.

I hope the Doctor can save Danny, because that would mean we could have him nip back in time and save Ianto, to make amends for what his earlier incarnation did. (I'm looking at this as a positive step forward by Moffatt, undoing some of RTD's idiocy.)

I don't doubt that he's going to save Danny. I don't think anyone will go back and save Ianto, though, or fix Jack. Thank heavens for fan fiction, that's all I have to say. LOL
