You know when you make a really hot, steaming cup of tea and take it upstairs into a cold room, and put it under a lamp on your desk, and then fully cover it over with your hand, and then move your thumb up and down to make it look like there's an evil hand monster with steam coming out of its mouth ( Read more... )

thought of a verb: "emignatise". though i see the meaning as being less "to attract attention by looking like you're trying not to attract attention" as "to be famous by being mysterious".

blend of "enigmatic" and "magnetise".
