So, I went to my very first Zumba class today.
I'd so underestimated it since my mother-in-law, who has a bad back, does Zumba.
But talking about it on Twitter prior to class made me feel a bit intimidated. LOL
Thanks to all my Twitter friends who gave me encouragement, that really helped! LOL
For anybody unfamiliar with it, here's a clip of a typical

I'm curious about the Zumba games, as Zumba itself does look fun (and I love dancing) - one focusing on the "core" just came out - Zumba Core. I'd rather do the games than go to an actual class. I'd be interested in hearing what you think of the game after you play it for a bit :)
Well only if you feel like it, of course. I hope it's okay that I comment here, usually I stick with the Gackt communities we are both in but, this caught my attention. :)

Of course, it's OK for you to comment here, I'm happy you did.
Yes, that's exactly why I got the game today: to learn the steps so I can fully enjoy the class.
I saw Zumba Core, too, but it's probably far beyond my level at this point. LOL
I'll give a Zumba game review here, and also talk about how it helped me in the actual class (or not).
If you like dancing, you'll probably enjoy it. :3

I would have probably fainted on the floor and kept on dancing from there LOL
as G said... eating after doing gym (or whatever) makes the food taste better ;D

Congratulations on trying a new class! I recommend that you exercise in a way that you enjoy (like Gackt and the taekwando - though he enjoys pain, of course) so, if this strange effort/dance class motivates you to join in and tone up, great - stick at it! Feeling fit is a treat and does improve immune response and does make physical tasks easier so hopefully you can remember this through any aches and discomfort :=)
Thank you for saying here that my little card made you happy. I don't feel sensitive about publicity for these gestures - I always feel cheered to see how people who have never met can be kind to each other. No need to hide that, I think!

Oh goodness, I didn't realize you've been very busy posting so many beautiful photos in your journal! (I've been away from LJ, semi-intentionally, to recenter myself a bit. ^^) I need to check them out! :D
Oh, yes! Enjoying workout is the only way I will continue, I know this for sure from experience. <^^;;
The challenge for me is to motivate myself to go 'routinely' between work and kids, but hopefully I'll manage.
Thank you, I'll remember that about you. ^^ Some of my friends are rather shy about me mentioning their names in public entries, that's why I'm careful. But yes, it's absolutely wonderful how the energy of kindness can be delivered around the globe with a simple postcard. :'3
So, thank you again. You are so very kind. :'3
And Happy Birthday to KK's mom! ^^

Hahaha, you really like HARD workout, don't you? XD
I used to take a kickboxing/cardio class, and that was the hardest I'd ever worked out, I guess. I did enjoy it at the time, but right now, I just need something that keeps me in shape and hold my energy level up rather than exhausts me to the point I can't do anything else the rest of the day. After all, I still need to take care of kids and work. lol
30lbs barbell? I think I'll start with 1lb dumbbells, thank you. XD
Yeah, I actually don't know if I'll like doing Zumba on my own. There's definitely something more fun and exciting about it when you have an energizing instructor in front of you and other people having fun around you. ^^
Hope you're doing OK, Ai-chan.
