Bond. James Bond. (Skyfall: No Spoiler)

So, yesterday I was really bummed out about something that happened in RL, so today I decided to cheer myself up by going to a Japanese restaurant and treat myself to some sushi (I normally don't eat rice).
After that, Ms.A, my bestie, and I went to the mall, and I got myself a Cinnabon (I got two for the price of one since they were closing store ( Read more... )

Your a 'Bond' fan? That's damn awesome! There are a couple that I have still never seen - On Her Majesty's Secrete Service (George Lazenby), Thunderball and Dr No...probably a couple more - probably from the Sean Connery era movies. There are few that I've never seen all the way through as well ( ... )

Something I found confusing about Casino Royale is that the original one isn't considered Bond cannon, so I'm curious about what makes this one cannon and the other one not. (I haven't seen the original one - I don't think it's been shown since this new version). Also amusing is that I don't feel that Craig looks all that younger than Brosnan (I don't know how old Brosnan is).

So now I wonder, are all of Craig's Bond movies a version of Bond's early career?

If I remember correctly, Connery came back to do a Bond movie after Rodger Moore took over Bond, so I wonder if that could happen with Brosnan (and effectively pull a bit of a Moore - playing a tad bit of an older Bond)...or has Brosnan "aged out of it", in (what would probably be) the producer's opinion?

To me, Craig's Bond gave the dimensions that other Bonds weren't allowed to show on screenThat's a bit unfair, I think, to say, at least in the defense to say that Craig is better than the others, particularly since a lot of the movies are lifted from the books, and well, ( ... )

I haven't seen the original Casino Royale, either, so I'm not really sure. There were some copyright issues that the producers had to resolve, though. And apparently, Craig's Bond is very similar to the Bond depicted in Fleming's book in that....he's more conflicted and human, I guess ( ... )
