I thought that they could have stretched a bit more the story without putting the "Smallville flashback"... Krypton was damn cool **
The way it "fell" reminds me of the world situation right now and how it can turn out to become...

You got Thor 2 *jelly* XD
I got Wolverine though... so... I'm good like that :'D

*watches trailer* Harrison? :O
the trailer is promising, so I might add this to my "must watch" list >:D

I liked the flashbacks, though. I think they were necessary to depict the loneliness he felt throughout his childhood and into adulthood.
To me, the fighting/action scenes were a bit too long, they weren't appropriately timed or something? 9_9

Yea, Thor 2 looks awesome~

I hope the movie'll be good. The book is wonderful. ^^

I mean... they could have done them a bit better... especially the tornado one... gawd xD
I'd agree on this point! they stretched them a bit (just to kill our ears lol)

mehehehe~

I hadn't read it *not a book person, even if sometimes I do read*... but I hope that will be faithful to the books, so you won't be disappointed :D

I found out about the Ender's Game movie at least 6 months ago but this is the first time I've seen a preview. I think I was considering messaging you at the time since I remembered we'd discussed the book and possible movie a couple years back but it slipped my mind and I never told you, sorry.

I'm a little conflicted about going to see this because of what I've found out recently about Card's attitude toward the issue of same sex marriage, but I've also been waiting 20 years for this movie. In the end I think I just have to see it, I've waited too long and the book has been too big a part of my life to pass up. The preview looks really awesome but I'm keeping my expectations low. I tend to be very particular about movies made of books I love and I have too often been disappointed. If I keep my expectations low I can maybe be better able to accept any changes.

I was thinking about you, Angel! lol
Yeah, I figured the secret must have been out for months now. It was completely off my radar, though. hahaha

Ohhhh, that's disappointing about Card, but yeah, I've felt similar disappointments when it comes to him because of his very strong Christian beliefs.
But I try to separate that from the books I adore... It's hard and not 100% enforceable, naturally, but I try. lol

Keeping the expectations low is probably a good thing, yeah. I do the same with other movies made based on books. But when it comes to Ender's Game, because I've also waited for it for almost 2 decades, I just really want that fulfilled, especially because the trailer looks promising and they did take a LONG time to make this. lol

But the trailer makes me a bit worried that they're gonna make the little romance element a major plot of the movie. I mean, what the book really focuses on is the bond between Ender and Valentine, and that's the element I absolutely love. :')

Aw Val, you did know that Man of Steel was directed by Zack Snyder and not by Christopher Nolan right? Snyder directed 300, Watchmen and other violent and visually extreme movies like that, MOS was actually his most "restrained" offer yet. I get the feeling so many people went in expecting a different movie than the one they saw.. XD

The new Superman actor's name is Henry Cavill btw. He's British. :)

Ahaha, the trailers we saw sucked, some Michael Bay movie and a Chronicles of Riddick sequel.. I have yet to see the new Hobbit trailer even though I went to see Man of Steel 3 times and went to see The Wolverine yesterday. I have no idea what Ender's Game is but I hope it's good for you! It's so so exciting to see a property that you love turned into a movie.

..............................Wut.
WUT.
It's not a Nolan movie?? Oh wait, did he just PRODUCE it????? D: D: D:

////orz////

No wonder..... :'D;;;;
I thought the movie was lacking a bit in emotional connection DESPITE the fact that there were so many touching scenes. It just didn't quite DIG INTO my heart like in movies directed by Nolan.... orz
I was expecting a movie like the Batman Trilogy, you know? Just the culmination of good stories, action, visual effects, great acting, and deep emotional connection (Yup, I felt it, leave me alone, nonfans out there =3=) combined. (Oh, and scorching HAWTness, too, of course.)

Henry Cavill? I wonder if he has Twitter? :D♥
I seem to have soft spots for Irish looking guys... (and Polish guys, Russian guys, and and and...)

You saw MoS three times?? Wow! lol
Can't wait to see Wolverine. I haven't even watched the latest Star Trek!

Luv ur icon, btw. So fricking much. XD

I guess the movie's emotional parts all hit people differently. I for one was sobbing like 5 times during the first, what, 45 minutes? Then again I really, really care about Superman as a character and the inherent depth and meaningfulness of the story and mythology. I thought Krypton was so beautifully fleshed out you could basically take it and make a dozen scifi movies out of it..

I can understand that the second half of the movie (one long action scene indeed) feels too long. It's quite funny though, because fans' main gripe with Superman movies up until now was the lack of action. Superman never actually punched someone, just lifted heavy stuff and moved really fast. XD So for me, all the action couldn't be long enough. I really wanted the movie to be more than 3 hours long like Watchmen, so there would be more room for developing various characters (and the relationship between Lois and Clark) and also even more action, preferably with Faora because damn she was awesome. Finally a well written female villain that isn't swayed ( ... )

(Sorry for the lateness, but...) Yeah, Krypton was really well done! I didn't think they'd go so far with it, they really should make a spin-off movie! lol

Ha! Never realized Superman only moved stuff around in the past! LMAO

Oh god, Faora was really awesome!!!!!
She was so badass and gorgeous at the same time!! lol

I still haven't seen Wolverine, but the story being set in Japan, maybe that was inevitable? (I'm being somewhat sarcastic here... lol)

Superman/Batman movie???????
WITH WHO AS THE SUPERHEROES???? *A*;;;;;
WHO'S DIRECTING?
(I can't picture Batman without Bale anymore, though. Just sayin')
