It was incredibly disappointing. When you listen to an Animal Collective song, it's okay that it sometimes drones on a bit because there is usually some sort of cohesion or something to find interesting. But, most definitely, the best part about Animal Collective is how they sing and harmonize over the music, in a way similar to the Beach Boys. That is their best aspect ( ... )

Yeah, I think you are right about their music not translating well to the stage. I still think they are a good/extremely talented/interesting band, just not a good live band. But this other kid I came with (who was the president or vice-president of shenanigans when we were freshmen...so crazy dude!) thought the show was amazing. So whatever, it's all good.

anyways, the photo show is on 1635 Wharton Street. Hopefully mapquest will be my BFF in finding this place. and yes we are going and hopefully it'll be a good time! it starts at six. so I guess I'll come pick you up at like quarter to six and then we can head there. if that sounds good to you. it's says it is over at nine but maybe we will want to leave before that, i don't know. we can see how it goes, i guess.

yeah man, i wish I had bought their album or something, because now I can't find anything about them anywhere (in english, at least.) But they were wonderful. I was going to go over and talk to them while animal collective was playing because they were just standing around, but my brother discouraged it. Anyway, it was nice to see you two kids, too bad it wasn't such a good time.

Storsveit Nix Noltes is apparently their full name and their official website seems to be www.nixnoltes.tk, but the link is under construction or some such rubbish.

you probably figured this out, but the accordion-player is the singer for mum.
